President

Alexis Carbajal (he/him/él) is President of the Greater Phoenix Equality Chamber of Commerce and co-founder of Phoenix Coquí, an authentic Puerto Rican restaurant and certified LGBT Business Enterprise. A Phoenix native and ASU graduate, Alexis built Phoenix Coquí with his husband, Juan Ayala, growing it from their home kitchen in 2015 to Phoenix's first Puerto Rican food truck in 2017 and a brick-and-mortar restaurant in 2022.

Alexis began as a GPECC member, then served as Board Secretary and President-Elect before stepping into his current role as President. He also volunteers with The National LGBTQ+ & Allied Chamber of Commerce (NGLCC), helping LGBTQ+-owned businesses navigate the certification process. As President, Alexis is focused on making GPECC useful to the businesses it serves by creating practical opportunities to learn, connect, and grow.

Casey Charpio is President-Elect of the Greater Phoenix Equality Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. Casey's career includes more than 30 years in marketing & sales, as well as economic development, fintech, and mortgage origination. Casey is currently the CMO and Senior Loan Originator at E5 Home Loans. Casey is also the Founder/Creative Director of LeDaze Studio, an LGBTQ+-owned, Phoenix-based premium wallpaper brand. Prior to joining the GPECC, Casey served on the board of Executive Council Charities for more than 10 years, is a graduate of Scottsdale Leadership, a member of the LGBTQ+ Real Estate Alliance, and serves on the Development Committee for One-N-Ten.

Michael is the founder and President/CEO of the Pride Guide® USA, a national LGBTQ+ Total Resource Guide. Michael has been a member of the GPECC for over 26 years and was the President-CEO of the Chamber from 2003 to 2005. He also served as the NGLCC Director of the Southwest Region of Local Chambers from 2004 to 2005, and was a proud recipient of the 2005 NGLCC Leadership Award and the 2005 NGLCC Chamber of the Year.

Tomas Rivas serves as Chief Lending Officer at MariSol Federal Credit Union (MFCU), a Phoenix-based Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) and Minority Depository Institution (MDI) dedicated to expanding access to equitable, responsible financial services. During his eight-year tenure, Tomas has advanced MFCU's lending strategy, strengthened its community impact, and created meaningful financial opportunities for individuals and families throughout the region. His leadership reflects a longstanding commitment to responsible lending, practical financial solutions, and the economic well-being of the communities MFCU serves.

Matt Parker is a financial advisor with Edward Jones, working with clients to develop a complete, tailored strategy to help achieve their personal financial goals. He believes it's important to invest his time to understand what individuals are working toward before investing their money. Matt is a native Phoenician and graduated from Arizona State University. He has been a member of GPECC for over 10 years and is a dedicated servant-leader in the community.

Lisa Malachowsky is a lifelong motorcyclist and scuba diver who has turned both passions into a career. A Vassar College graduate with a BA in Mathematics/Computer Science, she spent 20 years in high tech before shifting into the motorcycle industry in 2005, working as a parts and service director, general manager, and finance manager for several dealers and accessories companies, and later retraining as a Respiratory Therapist in Phoenix. A PADI Assistant Instructor since 1994 with over a thousand non-training dives logged across destinations like Indonesia, Fiji, Thailand, and the Philippines, she is also a long-distance touring rider, Iron Butt rider, and Total Control Motorcycle Safety Instructor who has ridden extensively across Europe and helped lead the Sisters' Centennial Motorcycle Ride across the US. An active advocate for women in motorcycling, she served as Industry Liaison and later Chair of the Women's Coalition of Motorcyclists, helping launch the DIRTY for GOOD program supporting homeless female veterans. In 2021 she founded Dive N Ride Adventures LLC, a travel company combining motorcycle touring and scuba diving trips worldwide with a focus on LGBTQ community-building and ocean conservation.

Will is an estate planning attorney with Trajan Estate, where he creates comprehensive estate plans that clearly convey the wishes and expectations of his clients while avoiding probate. He loves connecting with his clients to thoroughly understand their circumstances and what is most important to them. Will is originally from Idaho, and is thrilled to now be an Arizonan. He was one of the founding directors of the Idaho Pride Business League, an NGLCC affiliate. He proudly serves the community and is honored to continue his service through GPECC.

Jack is the Founder and Clinical Director of the Catharsis Center. Jack is licensed in multiple states and specializes in serving the needs of LGBTQIA+ clients. Jack is dually licensed in addiction counseling and as a clinical social worker. Jack has worked in public policy as an advocate and has won several awards as both an advocate and a professor. Jack is a PhD candidate at the Wurzweiler School of Social Work at Yeshiva University. Jack is a frequent public speaker and podcast host. In 2007, Social Work Today Magazine named Jack one of Today's Most Influential Social Workers. Jack lives in Goodyear with his husband, Kurt, and their fur children.

Clarke Scott, LPC, is the founder and Clinical Director of Brazen Therapy, a Phoenix-based group mental health practice serving individuals, couples, and families across Arizona and Colorado. Her work centers on expanding access to affirming, culturally responsive mental health care while creating opportunities for clinicians to grow and thrive. Outside of her practice, Clarke is active in community partnerships and initiatives that strengthen connection and representation across the Valley.
